應唐獎教育基金會邀請，第三屆唐獎漢學獎得主宇文所安近日來臺進行學術交流。宇文教授本週二(4/2)下午於臺大文學院的專題演講──「The Disabling Word: Philology and Working With the _Chuci_ 」，吸引數百位中外籍學生前來聆聽。
他分享楚辭〈離騷〉中的詩句，探討錯綜複雜的語言和其背後的含義，並特別討論中國古代詩詞中忠義的演變，宇文所安精彩、風趣的演講博得滿堂彩。會後學生們更掌握難得的機會，熱切向其提問及交流。

At the invitation of the Tang Prize Foundation, Stephen Owen, the third recipient of the Tang Prize in Sinology, recently came to Taiwan for an academic exchange. His lecture "The Disabling Word: Philology and Working With the Chuci" at the College of Arts and Letters of National Taiwan University on April 2 attracted hundreds of domestic and international students.
He shared poems from the Chuci: "Li Sao," exploring the intricacies of language and its underlying meanings and discussing the evolution of loyalty in ancient Chinese poetry. Stephen Owen's exciting and entertaining talk was well received. After the lecture, students took advantage of the rare opportunity to ask questions and engage in a lively discussion.
