《古都》是川端康成獲諾貝爾文學獎的作品。“古都”指日本京都。川端運用清淡、細膩的筆觸敘述了孿生姊妹千重子和苗子的辛酸身世、純潔愛情及對美好生活的嚮往，文中時時流露出人世寂寥之感，意境濃重而凄涼。《虹》是川端“懷着追尋淺草的殘夢”而寫成的佳作，描寫了淺草舞娘的紅顏薄命。川端認為，舞蹈是可視的音樂、動態的美術、形體的詩歌、戲劇的精華，女性通過舞蹈創造了美。川端曾多次表露，這篇小說是他“感銘頗深”、一氣呵成的得意之作。

高慧勤，筆名艾蓬、戴霞，中國社會科學院外國文學研究所研究員，曾任中國日本文學研究會會長。沉浸日本文學研究、翻譯等領域數十年，其緊貼原著、文字典雅的譯作，享譽國內外譯壇。主要譯著有《雪國》《千鶴》《古都》《歲月》《芥川龍之介全集》（合譯）等。

"But winter rainbows are a little spooky. Tropical flowers bloom in the cold region, and you want to fall in love. Maybe because it is cut at the roots of the rainbow. "
As a man says, the rainbow is cut from the roots. The roots are only apparent and the clouds disappeared.

Born in Osaka in 1899 (Meiji 32). Graduated from the University of Tokyo Imperial University. First trip to Izu during the fall of 1918 (Taisho 7). After about 10 years, we stay in Izuke Island every year. Kikuchi was issued in 1921 with the sixth series "Shisho" in 1921. As a new sensory artist, we have developed their own literature. Winner of the 1968 (Showa 43) Nobel Literary Award. On April 16, 1972, he death in his workroom. Many books include Danko Izu Izu, Snow Country, Ancient City, Mountain Sounds, Sleeping Beauty and more.
