早上謝老師來電，約明天初一11:30 全國大飯店二樓見。昨天我打電話時他們出去逛街。

與漢雄談一陣子。他對父親過世約18年記憶很深；不過對於祖國近40年他就無法承認。昨晚送給他的運動褲竟然失蹤了，遍找。
煮食之後外出向漢忠要發票----200元獎---要出去炫耀....

第二， 如下一引言， 我們有意開學前----你們在東海執教的老師可能較方便時---舉辦一天的討論會， 題目如引言所述， 是談東海校園的歷史；故事；展望。我希望你能為我們定一間約可容20-30人的教室---即，時間和地點由你代選， 我們認可的話， 就辦下去。同時也請你來談談，半小時或一小時。

等上述第二點確認後， 而且我們有五人以上的人願意那天回東海參加此會的話，就會辦此討論會。

我的目標是弄一本建議白皮書或校園簡史的書。 這唯有許多人的協助才可能完成。

跟陳永松在電話長談。我跟他說希望開學前辦一次一天的會議: 我看東海大學的校園環境之過去、現在、與未來。歡迎大家參與。

今年忘記帶資料回台中，所以昨天晚上才打電話給 陳永松。他當時在看某場首映會，之後再來電長談。那已是17小時前的事，現在看還能記得多少。.....

他對東海的校園未來有信心，因為它的底子很健壯，還不致於很惡化。他認為我們是很幸運的一群，享受過東海最好的宿舍豐富生活----他認為大學的老師能給學生的，頂多只是學生學到的之兩成，其他多學自他從同儕之交往中學來。

"窗明几淨"是東海建築的要項。修建老宿舍的原則要理想與現實兼顧。

談到建築系的系館，陳永松說他曾經要求設計者漢寶德老師給學生評圖----角色倒過來，因為學生從大一起就都是被評圖的對象。漢先生說先前較用心提的兩個建案，都被董事會否決，現在的這方案倒是沒想到被通過了。

我與陳兄長談，知道他對東海校園還有熱情，所以就想到開個討論會。

This makes sense. I like the theme of this symposium, which touches a chore in my heart. However, if you would spend time on this topic, you might as well take on a substantial target to go beyond. I would encourage you to treat it as a first step toward planning a grand vision/design for the whole campus, focusing on the development of the second campus and the integration of the old and the new. Concrete concepts and approaches could be proposed for both the landscaping (the form) and the use of the land (the function) in the symposium that would ultimately leading to your white book after more effort and participation after the first meeting. 

I know I'm suggesting a bottom-up campaign to move the university to develop its land asset and transform the campus - and the school. This could be an insurmountable undertaking, but 1. it uniquely suits you (if any one can pull this off, you can), and 2. it cannot lost (and intermediate result would still possess value to the university). At the least, the effort itself, regardless how crude it would be, could still attract attention and create some momentum to push the university/the board move in the right direct. 

Sorry, I again violated my own advice to myself.

C.訪客似乎梢簡單點， 實際上當然也很麻煩。
現有一棟校友會館、招待所。似乎也應該考慮將來的駐校作家/藝術家/企業家/學者。
這一類也許優先序比較低點，因為校外的旅館資源似乎不少。

教職員宿舍 (有待整理，我不太清楚現況，其實該用各類型宿舍做一盤查；譬如”退休教授宿舍已停建…….)。根據約2周前與郭總務長聊天， 現在有A/B型宿舍空地 (已拆屋後) 5棟。 郭先生有心想鼓勵新一代的台灣建築師提出設計構想。

現有多少床位?  根據現有學生人數，要6成學生有床位， 似乎得準備近萬個床位。
根據約2周前與郭總務長聊天，他推薦在操場旁建宿舍，而這可以需要對外募捐。
現在董事會似乎不允許校方去借款/或如臺大的BOT方式 (水源校區的宿舍群全是BOT)。


董事會似乎採取預算總金額控制方式: 如有3.5 億元，校方要自行取捨綜合運動中心要用多少，有餘款才可能考慮建宿舍。
