For Moore, nature and the human body were sources of vitality, expressions of life-force which he could harness in his work, uniting and concentrating their vital energy. Our new, outdoor exhibition explores Moore's relationship with nature and the human form through more than 20 of his monumental bronzes.

Annual Tickets to Studios & Gardens

This year, we're delighted to introduce annual tickets to Henry Moore Studios & Gardens.

Our new tickets allow you to visit our 70 acres of sculpture gardens, and Moore's studios, as often as you like for a full year following your first visit. Tickets are valid for 12 calendar months and can be used an unlimited number of time during open seasons.

Our Chief Operating Officer, Lesley Wake, says:
"Our ambition is to enable and encourage more people to visit, enjoy the Studios & Gardens and discover Henry Moore. With this in mind we have taken the decision not to increase the ticket price regardless of the added value of multiple visits."

 Happy birthday to John Fowles (1926-2005), English novelist, whose allusive and descriptive works combine psychological probings — chiefly of sex and love — with an interest in social and philosophical issues. Best known for The Magus and The French Lieutenant's  Woman, Fowles was named by The Times newspaper as one of the 50 greatest British writers since 1945.

Lyme Regis /ˌlaɪmˈriːdʒɪs/ is a town in west Dorset, England, 25 miles (40 km) west of Dorchester and east of Exeter. Sometimes dubbed the "Pearl of Dorset",^[3] it lies by the English Channel at the Dorset–Devon border. It has noted fossils in cliffs and beaches on the Heritage or Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site. The harbour wall, known as The Cobb, appears in Jane Austen's novel Persuasion, the John Fowles novel The French Lieutenant's Woman and the 1981 film of that name, partly shot in the town.
