讀周作人《知堂回想錄》的北大人，想應該看看書前部分。
時光真無情，即使許多知名革命人士的故事，後人幾乎都忘了，如著名的成功刺客被剖心餵人......
他們兄弟的"情"，魯迅後來的文章中的"指事"，都只是"詩"化 (如老弟挨揍)，"真實"的故事是...... (他們當然都知道歌德的回想錄《詩與真》。
知堂外語比老哥魯迅好，所以翻譯賺錢，常是老弟口述，老哥筆錄.......
周作人在日本6年 (最妙的是，公費留學名義是學建築，似乎沒上過相關學校/課) 。期間學過俄文、梵文、古希臘文 (他20年後翻譯，50~60年代更專心翻譯古希臘古典)。作人想續留日本學法文，魯迅(痛心)要他回國做事補貼家用。
記他們在日本上章太炎的《說文》(約1908)，章講到"尼"字"從後近之"，有聲有色，包括"仲尼"......
