謝翱〔宋代〕
謝翱（1249—1295）福建長溪（寧德市福安市曉陽鎮人），字皋羽，一字皋父，號宋累，又號晞發子。恭帝德祐中元兵南下，文天祥開府延平，率鄉兵數百人投之，任諮議參軍。及天祥兵敗，脫身潛伏民間，避地浙東。嚐過嚴陵，登釣台，祭奠天祥，有《西台慟哭記》傳世。後至浦江，與方鳳、吳思齊等結月泉吟社。卒，友人方鳳、吳思齊等從其初志葬於釣台南。有《晞發集》，編有《天地間集》、《浦陽先民傳》等。

南朝宋劉義慶《世說新語·汰侈》：“〔武帝〕嘗以一珊瑚樹，高二尺許賜愷。枝柯扶疏，世罕其比。愷以示崇。崇視訖，以鐵如意擊之，應手而碎。愷既惋惜，又以爲疾己之寶，聲色甚厲。崇曰：‘不足恨，今還卿。’乃命左右悉取珊瑚樹，有三尺四尺，條幹絶世，光彩溢目者六七枚，如愷許比甚衆。”

殼斗科石櫟屬植物的通稱。常綠喬木，葉橢圓形有鋸齒狀。夏季開花，單性，雌雄同株。果實為堅果，隔年成熟，可供熟食。木材堅實，為建築、造船等的優良用材。

接受家恆點名，接連七天貼出七本書的封面，等不及明天了，今天就先開始，由於已被多次點名，請朋友們自行響應，就不再抓鬼了。
這本《白鯨記》得自志文出版社創辦人張清吉前輩所贈，時間是1984年9月5日(我竟然寫在書後)，我當年真的讀完了，書中劃滿紅線，讀完的疑惑是：這是白鯨生理學，還是小說？我當年也去看了葛萊哥萊畢克演的同名電影，他飾演躲進棺材中得以劫後餘生的水手，電影是在紅樓戲院看的，多年後我在這裡喝朋友的喜酒時還想起當年看電影的感覺，窒息，頭疼欲裂……。當年讀的小說一本比一本厚，時間多得用不完，簡直就是阿舍啊，真是懷念。

I guess the same is true of our human society — things can look dark, then a break shows in the clouds, and all is changed, sometimes rather suddenly. It is quite obvious that the human race has made a queer mess of life on this planet. But as a people we probably harbor seeds of goodness that have lain for a long time waiting to sprout when the conditions are right. Man’s curiosity, his relentlessness, his inventiveness, his ingenuity have led him into deep trouble. We can only hope that these same traits will enable him to claw his way out.

In the late 1870s, Williamina Fleming was in her early 20s and a recent U.S. immigrant from Scotland. She had come married with a child, but her husband abandoned the family shortly after arriving. Responsible for raising their son, she took a job as a housekeeper in the home of Edward Pickering, the Director of Harvard College Observatory.
As the story goes, one day, when frustrated with the men he employed, Edward yelled out, “My Scottish maid could do better!” While said in jest, there was much truth to his comment. Williamina was an advanced student while in Scotland. She was a pupil-teacher by 14 years old and continued teaching for five years until she married.
In 1881, Edward hired Williamina as the first of what would become a famous group of Harvard Computers. All women, they studied the stars through glass plate photographs. Then only a few years later, while still not even 30 years old, Williamina became curator of astronomical photographs. This role came with the responsibility of managing a dozen women computers. Within a few years, the team classified over ten thousand stars.
Williamina became a prominent astronomer of her time, receiving many awards and numerous honors. She became the first American woman elected an honorary member of the British Royal Astronomical Society. And she would discover ten novae, 59 nebulae, and 310 new variable stars. As she achieved much success and helped her team thrive, she also stood up for women in science, advocating for the hiring of women.

2021 literature laureate Abdulrazak Gurnah was born in 1948 and grew up on the island of Zanzibar but arrived in England as a refugee at the end of the 1960s. He was eighteen years old. Not until 1984 was it possible for him to return to Zanzibar, allowing him to see his father shortly before he died.
Gurnah began writing as a 21-year-old in English exile, and even though Swahili was his first language, English became his literary tool. During his literary career, Gurnah has published ten novels and a number of short stories. The theme of the refugee’s disruption runs throughout his work.

特別喜歡那首〈一枚鮮黃色的亮麗菌〉，曾經印下來貼在案頭時時觀賞。現在再讀，覺得詩人是真正的洞察者、預言家，又好似一個孩子在對我眨眼。
如今她走了，希望來世她還能生為作家繼續寫作，那麼未來的我又能讀到了。

A perzsa kertek kialakításában nagyon fontos szereppel bír a geometria. Ugyanis a geometria révén tud megvalósulni az a precíz, gazdag szimbolikával átitatott kertkultúra, amely a földi világunkat az örökké valóság világával képes összekötni. A perzsa kertek elsősorban téglalap alakúak, melyeknek elválaszthatatlan részét képezik a vizes területek. Ez utóbbinál külön meg kell jegyezni, hogy kettős funkciót látnak el, mivel egyrészről felelnek az öntözésért, másrészről pedig szimbolikus szereppel is rendelkeznek, hiszen a kert központjában kialakított medence a föld és az ég kapcsolatára reflektál. A perzsa-iszlám építészetre jellemző, hogy a külső szemlélő előtt tudatosan törekszik elrejti a látnivalót (mint például a riádok), azaz fallal vagy kerítéssel van körbe fonva, ezt azt jelenti, hogy emiatt a bejárat helye és szerepe is jelentős. Az a bejárat, amelyen áthaladva feltárulkozik a sivatag szívében lakozó földi paradicsom. Kép: Az UNESCO Világörökségi Listáján is szereplő iráni Fin Kert Kashan közelében található, amely nem más, mint egy történelmi perzsa kert. A maga nemében ez a létesítmény Irán egyik legnagyobb múlttal rendelkező kertje, amely a 16. század végén jött létre.

Persian gardens are primarily rectangular, with wetlands as an integral part. Kannon (Sanskrit, Avalokiteshvara), the bodhisattva of compassion, appears in six different incarnations, one for each of the six realms of existence (rokudo). The outwardly fierce horseheaded Kannon watches over the fate of those born as animals. Just as horses drink muddy water and eat all the weeds of the field, so the horse-headed Kannon consumes the carnal passions that obstruct the path to enlightenment. The multiple faces and arms are signs of the bodhisattva's supernatural powers. The horse-headed Kannon was popular in Japanese warrior society because of his role as protector of horses.
The lacquer shrine is decorated with lotus designs of sprinkled gold in a style reminiscent of Heian lacquer. The interior of the shrine is covered with a geometric pattern associated with healthy childbearing, over which pink and white lotuses are painted in rich mineral pigments.

2019年中國：香港勇武； 中國控制豬瘟疫情失敗 ，影響蔓延至全球。官員們曾多番表示已控制疫情，但每次都以豬瘟進一步蔓延而告終。這場豬瘟導致全球約四分之一生豬死亡，改變了全球農業結構和消費者的飲食和錢包，也顯示出中國政府自上而下解決問題方式的局限性。

《葵花記》有孟日紅被梁府毒死，葬後園井中，覆葵花其上。 九天玄女救活之，授以天書兵法，遂以女將征西立功，封一品夫人.....(又，《水滸傳》第41回寫道，宋江被官兵追趕，躲於九天玄女廟而獲救，並從玄女處接受三卷兵書。明朝董斯張《廣博物誌》卷九曾引《玄女兵法》文，顯現九天玄女精通兵法術數。)---見孫楷第《與胡適之論醒世姻緣書》，1930亞東版《醒世姻緣傳》卷首。收入孫楷第《滄州後集》頁139-158。

陳漱渝和李致合編，《一對小兔子：胡適夫婦兩地書》(湖南教育，2006)呈現完整點的夫婦關係 (他們寫信都有編號)。其實，胡適的家書可補充他的一些行止，譬如說1937年年底當美國特使其間數月無日記，胡先生有簡單報告。
如果不了解胡夫人纏足、讀武俠小說.....不容易了解胡先生對中國文化 批判。
很可惜我尚未讀胡夫人晚年手寫的"回憶錄"。
讀這本《一對小兔子：胡適夫婦兩地書》，會讓人想起，應該研究胡適之先生一生的財務進出---他如何省錢助人，因為書信中胡夫人常要胡適寄些錢 (她都將"錢"寫成"泉"......)回家，最多家中一個月花三百元，可能是胡先生月薪的2倍。
不過，胡適夫婦取財有道，譬如說，1926年4月，胡適將訪歐美，夫人雖然信中求錢，似乎聽胡先生的指示，將商務印書館送來的一筆錢退回。

原則上漢清講堂每月一次，前天，16日，我們有"2015紀念胡適之先生"的座談。參加的有曹永洋、戴久永、蘇錦坤，高塔(他是游常山介紹的，送大家一本詩集【左頰】，他的詩詞、文風都很有特色，請朋友讀讀。他現在致力於T. S. Eliot 的長詩之翻譯。)
我們預計2016.1.13 舉辦的聚會是兩次主題的合併。

張先生過世，我有意資助朋友出版台灣版的追思集。不過，朋友集稿不順利，反觀中國出了二本。就不去談它。
過了那麼多年了。我決定在續生初二回國前，要讀完張先生的主要學術著作；再加上巫鴻先生的。
就跑到山外，將架上的十來本都搬回來。
我希望大家稍為對1月13日可能的與會者有些印象。更希望大家自我介紹。
