.......對於香港社會的「臺灣化」現象，以時機點來說，剛好是和中國習近平政權的登場同時開始的。習近平提出「中華民族的偉大復興」，而應該成為這一重任之重要兩翼的臺灣和香港，卻漸漸形成了一股「對中國說不」的力量，可謂頗具諷刺意味。究其原因，習近平政權對外態度強硬，而針對香港和臺灣的需求，與先前的胡錦濤政權相比，則些許缺乏敏銳度，這樣的政治手法，無疑影響到各個方向。至少可以說，對於長期以來呼吸著「民主」和「自由」空氣的人來說，以銅鑼灣書店失蹤案為代表的情況似乎越來越遠離自己，可以說已經無法認同為「祖國」了。......香港以「天然獨」為主的本土派進一步增加，將為中港關係帶來怎樣的影響？香港回歸已近30年，一國兩制50年不變的承諾將在2047年期滿，香港已經走過了大半，而「香港臺灣化」的進展，應該會成為左右香港未來的關鍵。
