Anish Kapoor celebrated his first successes in the 1970s with his colorful sculptures. Born in Mumbai, formerly Bombay, the artist has become internationally famous for his monumental works. Between 2004 and 2006, for example, he created the publicly accessible sculpture "Cloud Gate" in Chicago, which is welded from stainless steel plates.
