Dazed (Dazed & Confused until February 2014) is quarterly British lifestyle magazine founded in 1991. It covers music, fashion, film, art, and literature. Dazed is published by Dazed Media, an independent media group known for producing stories across its print, digital, and video brands. The company's portfolio includes titles Another Magazine, Dazed Beauty and Nowness. The company's newest division, Dazed Studio, creates brand campaigns across the luxury and lifestyle sectors. Based in London, its founding editors are Jefferson Hack and fashion photographer Rankin.
Background
[edit]Dazed was begun[2] by Jefferson Hack, and Rankin while they were studying at London College of Printing (now London College of Communications).[3] Beginning as a black-and-white folded poster[4] the magazine soon turned full colour and was promoted at London club nights. The Norwegian photographer and later Hells Angel Marcel Leliënhof [5] was involved with the magazine in the first editions, as was the stylist Katie Grand.[6]

Dazed Digital
[edit]Dazeddigital.com launched in November 2006.[16] Its former editor was Anna Cafolla.[17] As of 2021, Ib Kamara was appointed to the position of editor-in-chief, and Lynette Nylander as executive editorial director.[18]
Dazed Beauty
[edit]In September 2018, Dazed launched Dazed Beauty, a community platform dedicated to redefining the language and communication of beauty.[19] Its editor-in-chief is Bunney Kinney.[19]

Amicus usque ad aras is a Latin phrase usually translated into English as "a friend as far as to the altar", "a life-long partner" or "a friend to the very end".[1]
The plural of amicus is amici leading to a separate usage of amici usque ad aras.[2]
A song of the same name dates to the defunct Yale University Greek organization Phi Theta Psi in 1864.[3] The tune used comes from the traditional song "Annie Lisle".
Phi Kappa Psi fraternity's song "Amici" includes the phrase "amici usque ad aras" and appears to be based on the Yale tune.[4]
The phrase also appears in the fraternity of Alpha Chi Rho's song "Amici" and the anthem song of 'Le Bourdon' of the 'Deltsch Studenten Corps' "Our Strong Bands".[citation needed]
In popular culture
[edit]This phrase has also been used by two members of the K-pop group ATEEZ. Choi San and Jung Woo-young use this phrase to show the special relationship that they have. Both of them like to describe each other as 'soulmates', 'alter ego' and each others' half of the other. They also have a matching tattoo with this phrase on their right thigh which was initially done in secrecy until they revealed about it to the public. [citation ne
